while debugging Text Editor is invoking instead of Large Data Editor

While debugging I add a clob variable to Watches and click a button to view contents - Text Editor Windows appears instead of Large Data Editor, so I can't view the whole text in a clob.
I've tried 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 versions - no success. But in 7.0.2 is was ok.

This was the same in 7.0. The Oracle debugger can only report values smaller than 1000 bytes.
