toolbar settings

We have one PC on which the toolbar settings disappear each time the program is closed.

Where are those settings saved? I was guessing the registry, but what would cause them to disappear when the pgm is closed?

Thank you.

All user settings are saved in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Allround Automations\PL/SQL Developer\ToolBar

Can you verify this registry section?

It does not exist starting at the Allround part. Did something fail in the install?

I'll install the copy we just bought and see if that fixes things, before we/you delve into this any farther.

Thank you.

On a PC using Windows 2k, Service Pack 4 (5.00.2195).

We downloaded the paid version, 5.1.3.704 and installed it. Now there is a reg key like you said, and there are 44 entries, but when we start PLSD there are no buttons on the toolbar. Using Tools | Perfs | Toolbar | Reset to Default 'restores' the buttons to the display.

Then, when we try and exit PLSD it hangs. Sometimes it says that it wrote a log (can't find it though) and sometimes it just 'hangs'. Right now it has been hung for over 2 minutes.

I just killed PLSD and started it again and when it was all up I did File / Exit and then it said that it had generated errors and was writing a log. But I can't find the error log.

I just uninstalled, deleted the reg key, deleted what was left of the directory in Program Files and reinstalled - now it works.

Thank you Mr. Bill (Gates).
