tables and views not responding

Up until about a week ago everything was working fine then I opened the program up and clicked on views and it just hangs. The view and tables both don't respond and I have to terminate the program. I can reach the views and tables from other programs just fine. I have unistalled and reinstalled 3 times and have also changed to a single session in preferences but I still can not get them to come up.
I have since updated the program to the lastest version and can get into the tables and views when I first enter the program but I can not get into them when I go into the query builder. It still hangs there.

This usually indicates a problem with the dictionary views. Especially if things worked okay before.

Are you using the "All objects" filter? If so, does it help is you change to "My objects"? You can also try to change the order by clause of the filter, in case the Oracle Server uses a suboptimal query execution plan.

If you are using an older version, it can also help to upgrade to 7.0.2.
