Program window and cleartype fonts

Hi,

I think that I spotted a problem. You might want to investigate it.

I noticed that the editor you use for several windows (I don't know if it is the same for every window) has a problem when ClearType is turned on. I tested it in WinXP with ClearType turned on, by trying to navigate inside a package body in a Program Window.

The symptoms: The text moves very slowly and it flickers a lot! When i say moving the text, I mean using the arrow keys to scroll the text up and down. I think it is very close to being unusable. I always turn off ClearType when I know I am going to work on big packages for some time. If you turn off ClearType, everything is ok!

I have ClearType on all the time, and have never witnessed any problem. I assume other users with LCD monitors use the same setting.

Perhaps it's a video card driver related issue? Or maybe you need to tune the ClearType settings for your monitor?

I understand what you say but the problem appears only when I use PL/SQL Developer. When I use Delphi or VS Studio or Notepad or anything else I have installed, there is no problem.
