Let me expand a little on that:
I have a key mapping for Shift + Alt + P.
(It does a File / Document / Change To / Command Window - but I don't think that's crucial to the point here)
If I press and hold Shift, then Alt and finally P - the Project menu pops up at the top - as if I'd just entered Alt-P.
If I press and hold Alt, then Shift and finally P - it does the action I'd assigned to this key in my preferences - the active window is changed to a Command Window.
Time to form a habit and not be so quick with my Alt-Shift pressing
