Annoyance - switching to HTML manuals window

If I am in a fullscreen PLSD window and open the HTML manuals window, then switch to a fullscreen Outlook 2002 window and then click on the Task Bar button for the HTML Manuals window I see the screen switch to PLSD with the HTML Manuals window on top of that and then the HTML Manuals window disappears behing the PLSD window. Clicking the HTML Task Bar button again brings up that window.

This does not happen if I go to a fullscreen IE window instead of Outlook. It does happen going to a fullscreen Adobe Reader window and even a pgm that I wrote in Delphi (1 half screen size).

Do you have any ideas why this might be?

Yes, i've noticed that too ... it's annoying, but I don't use very often the PL/SQL developer's help as IE has lots of memory and more importantly GDI leeks, and eventually I have to restart PL/SQL developer....

Those windows 2K GDI resource limits are so annoing ..

There are 2 preferences that might affect this:

1. HTML Help window: "Stay On Top"
If the option is enabled, the HTML Help window will stay on top until you close or minimize it. If it is disabled, the HTML Help window will appear as a separate task, with its own button on the Windows task bar. This way you can bring PL/SQL Developer main window or the Help window to the front whenever you need it.

2. Use internal HTML viewer
If you enable this, Internet Explorer will not be used, and any resource leaks it may have will not affect PL/SQL Developer.

Marco,
Sorry, but I am already using the internal HTML viewer.

I'll try the 'stay on top' option and see if that makes it better.

Thank you.

btw, have you received the code I sent with the questions?
