Switching windows using ctrl-tab or the "Window" menu is different from using the Window List. Maybe this is a bug? It's at least odd to me, so I had to point it out.
I always keep my program windows maximized inside pl/sql developer. When I use ctrl-tab to switch between open windows, a lot of stuff happens:
* The connection indicator and pl/sql developer icon in the menu bar switch positions, and then switch back.
* The program window tabs at the top disappear, then re-appear.
* I see the border and scrollbar of two un-maximized windows, as if the windows un-maximize before switching and then re-maximizing.
None of these things happen when I click in the Window List to switch between open windows. The only weird thing there is I sometimes see the minimize/close/maximize buttons (but not the border and scrollbar) of one of the two un-maximized windows.
Note: These things are best visible when opening 10+ program windows, using Menu->Window->Cascade, and then maximizing one of the windows.
Note: Switching between windows using the Window menu has the same results as pressing ctrl-tab.
