Visualization of Window Connection

Hi,

I'm working with many connections at once and it's hard to distinguish the connection of the open windows.
Unfortunately the window does not have the color of the connection.

Also what is very dangerous is the unpinned mode when having multiple different DB connections.

In my opinion the unpinned mode must be default.

And it would be very helpful to have a better indication of the connection of a window incl. the color.

Thanks, Simon

If you go to Preferences > User Interface / Appearance you can choose where the connection color will appear:

  • An indicator on the Quick Access Toolbar
  • An indicator on the window (the color of the connection name)
  • The editor background color of the window
  • The application background (only useful in Multiple Document Interface mode)

The plugin rrProject has a tool to double coloring the window indicator to indicate main and window connections at the same time.

Thanks for the hint

But your plugin makes the start of PL/SQL Developer much slower and the icons in the ribbon are not displayed. Please see attached screenshot. I'm using the 64bit version.

Also I don't fully understand how to use the plugin. Is there any documentation?

In the plugin settings (rrProject / Settings) you can see all the tools and their brief description.

I know of the slowdown on some machines. Performance will be significantly improved in a future version. The new version will be available soon. I can send rrProject v2.3 Beta to your email.

Also I know of the lack of icons. They appear and disappear by themselves. This is some IDE feature / bug. Maybe @MarcoKalter will help us in this matter?
