Connectios window open/close is slow

I have been using PL/SQL Developer for years, and the list of connections in my Connections window has grown significantly, now containing around 100 connections. Recently, I noticed that opening or closing the Connections window has become very slow, taking approximately one minute. What could be causing this issue?
