Ver 8 does not save desktop

I upgraded from latest version 7 to new version 8 of PL/SQL Dev. Now after closing and opening the programm, it doesn't restore my desktop as it was before:
- objects => is always selected
- open files are not opened again
- open objects are not opened again

Is there any option which must be enabled to get it working again? Or is it a bug?

Perhaps you used the desktop= command-line parameter? If so, you may need to re-apply that parameter.

No, I'm using it without any parameter:
"C:\Users\Public\PLSQL Developer\plsqldev.exe"
As you can see, it's installed not in "Default" directory (program files). That's because in that directory I have full access to the files. Installng PL/SQL-Developer 7 in "program files" causes problems with plug ins. I'm using Vista Business 64 Bit. With PLSQL-Dev release 7 I had no problems.

A collegue uses XP 32 Bit and has no problems (also with Rel 8).

I've added the parameter desktop= to params.ini.
Now the desktop is restored.

But the users filter is always set to instead of restoring last configuration. But this filter is not only affecting the object browser but also f.e. "compile invalid objects".

So it would be very helpful, if this configuration is also stored/restored. Or maybe I can switch off (and hide) this new filter?

It can also be that you needed to enable the "AutoSave Desktop" preference instead of using the Desktop parameter (Tools > Preferences > User Interface / Appearance).

I have added this to the list of enhancement requests.

"AutoSave Desktop" (under User Interface / Options ;-) was really disabled. I found out, that also some other configurations was lost, f.e. logon history / store with password.

The second point is really annoying for us. After each start of PLSQL-Dev. we have to change from to . And after each connect it's resetted to again :-(

Is a quick change / workaround possible?
