Too many windows?

I've noticed that when I have many windows open (more than 10) and the WindowList is visible, compiling seems to take a lot longer and the application window flickers a lot more.
Anyone know what's up with that?

Also, the compiler progress window stays on top during long compiles, even when PL/SQL Developer is not the main application (I tried to surf the web while waitin for compile to finish, but the progress window stayed on top of everything else). Is there any way to hide it during long compiles?

That is odd. Can you verify if this is fixed with the 8.0 trial version?

I have only been doing project builds. Not sure if/when I'll be able to try in 8.x.
