My colleagues use TOAD, I am the only one using PL/SQL Developer, and we have just started using the Team Coding facility
built into TOAD, called Team Foundation Server. TOAD apparently has some tables in the database that will track check
in/checkout and prevent other developers from editing files that are checked out by someone else.
I have been successful in connecting to Microsoft Team Foundation and I am able to check programs in and out.
Sadly, when I check things out, they do not go into the TOAD tables and no one else knows I have items checked out.
This is all new to me, so I am not sure if I am explaining the situation correctly.
For now, it seems my only course of action is to check in/check out VIA TOAD and edit and debug VIA PL/SQL.
