Not a big deal, but I think this is a bug:
In a blank window:
1. Press the "Ins" key to switch from insert mode to overtype mode.
2. Type "a"
3. Press the left arrow key
4. Type "b", note that the "b" replaced the "a"
5. Press the left arrow key
6. Press the tab key, note that the "b" was not replaced
Settings:
[ ] Smart tab
[x] Smart fill
[x] Use tab character
