Strange behaviour, all objects are prefixed with user name

I open the Oracle Logon dialog. By mistake, I type a space after the Username. Now, in the browser, all object names are prefixed by the username, ex: SCOTT.BONUS

Is this a known error, and can it be fixed?

I am using version 7.1.4.1391

Thanks, it is not a big deal, so as far as I am concerned, put in on the "nice-to-have" list

Seems like an easy fix: trim spaces from the logon username.
