When programming I have frequently the need to open a lot of reference tables to examine their contents. Making them as small as possible would give me a lot more screen estate.
Some suggestions to improve this:
-Allow to hide/unhide the edit part of the SQL window on request (extra button)
-Resize the SQL window to its current resultset, but don't go beyond the size of the screen.(extra button) If the edit part is not hidden, resize this also to the minimum, hiding empty lines.
