SQL*Net

Hi,

Are there any plans to create a DOA component which doesn't need the SQL*Net layer to be installed. A bit like the Java Thin Database drivers.
They connect directly to the listener, using this for connection string: ip-addressort:sid

We don't have any plans to bypass Oracle Net, but you can specify a database connection without using an alias .
