Slow when clicking into data grid

I just upgraded to 5.1.3.704. So far it has been super, with one exception. If I run a query, and then click into the resultset data grid, it can take a little bit, whereas it used to be instantaneous. I've also noticed that I now see the datatype of the column I'm in. My hunch is that when I click into the grid, the app queries the data dictionary to fetch the datatype. Can I turn off this behavior?

Tools -> Preferences

SQL Window tab, on the left side, the last one:
"Show dictionary info in result grid"
