More than a year after moving my family and myself to the Middle East from Europe I have finally found the time and place to continue the diagram plug-in Quick/ER for PSD.

My sincere apologies to everyone (especially registered customers) who where using the plug-in and couldn't get a working version for the 7.x version of PSD - My family was prioritised :)

The new version 2.5 of the plugin can be downloaded (as a pre-release with debug information added) from:
www.Gotterup.Net

If you encounter any problems with the plug-in please send your feedback to me on:
support@gotterup.net

The planned official release of Quick/ER 2.5 is targeted for mid August 2008 but it all depends on how many bugs are found in the pre-release.

Note : Serials bought for 2.0 are still working for 2.5!

Kind regards,
Poul

hi,

I would love to use it again, but i am running win2k sp4 and there are issues with starting plsd after installing quick/er.

title: plsqldev.exe - Entry Point Not Found
text : The procedure entry point DeactivateActCtx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

any ideas?

Not really sure sounds like the somethings wrong with the dll communication. Which version of PSD are you running?

Excellent news Poul.
I was really missing Quick/ER to help me understand the wicked architecture of the software i'm working on.
Now that sould be easier :)
Thanks a lot

Hi,

I installed into my PLSD.
But Build 2.5.0.4 is not work in PLSD 7.0.3.1123.

when I click Quick/ER icon, error dialog is opened "abnormal program termination."

it is also context menu Wuick\ER - new diagram.

Hi Taka,

It appears that the PSD plug-in interface has changed from 7.0 to 7.1 and therefore the plug-in is only compatible with 7.1+
I have uploaded the previous version of Quick/ER v2.1 http://www.gotterup.net/QuickER21.exe which you can use on 7.0 but it is not supported any more.
I would advise you to upgrade to PSD 7.1.5 and use Quick/ER v2.5.

Kind Regards,
Poul

Hi PoulG,

I don't like PSD 7.1.xxx
Because 7.1.xxx can't use texType, Wlindow list Plugin.

I expect in the next version 8.

there is a similar program called "SQL Assistant" that does a similar thing. not quite free, but close, and a major advantage is that it will work for plsd, notepad, ultraedit, sqlplus etc.. just about any damn thing.

http://www.softtreetech.com/isql.htm

it has an auto replace feature that is really cool and it also lets you build statements from the statement diagrams that oracle provide, all clicky picky, but it gives you all the options etc.

check it out, i like it...

I have uesd it a year ago.
But at that time, SQL Assistant isn't fit for PLD.

Now is it cool and safe ?
.....
I read SQL Assistant online help at the website.
If it is realy, It's nice. :D

Hey Taka,

Regarding, "I don't like PSD 7.1.xxx
Because 7.1.xxx can't use texType, Wlindow list Plugin."

You probably know, but just in case...

I liked those plug-ins as well. Did you know you can just drag the window list in 7.1 like the window list plug-in? The colors aren't there, but it's been good enough for me.

Did you know they have "AutoReplace" now that works like the texType plug-in? I just changed my Editor preference to look at the old texType file and it works. One cool thing is that it can call templates as well using different syntax and TexType couldn't do that.
