Hi everybody!

Please help me! I use PL/SQL Developer 5.1.3 on Windows XP, I try to connect to 8.1.7.4 and 9.0.2.2 RDBMS. First time the connections was good and nothing wrong. But some days ago when I try to connect to a remote database, on the first logon screen a saw a message called 'Logon failed', but in the program when I used the reconnect button, the connection was established. What's the problem?

When this "Logon failed" error happens again, can you go to Help > About, press the 'Info' button, press the 'Copy all pages' button on this info screen, and paste this text into an e-mail reply?

Hello!

I send this information to you by e-mail.
But there is another problem with this, because when the connection was established, and I try to reconnect to another database the PL/SQL Developer program crashed.
I'm waiting for your answer.

Other informations about my computer. This is a notebook, with 40 GB har disk, 512 MB memory, and I use Norton Internet Security 2003. I configured the personal firewall for PL/SQL Developer.

Thanks!

Hi Marco!

I think I solved the problem. Some days ago, I installed Quick Time software on my notebook. Today I uninstalled it. And everything work. I can logon at the first time, and the reconnect also works. So I think on Windows XP the PL Developer and the Quick Time don't work together. Can you hear something about it?

Best regards,
Gabor

I was not aware of a problem with Quick Time, but it's interesting to know...
