Problem with DESC(ribe)

Hi

ALthough the help menu says that DESC is supported, whenever I try to use it in version 7.1, I get an ORA-00900 Invalid SQL statement error.

Is there something I'm missing? I've tried with and without semicolon, backslash, putting it in a PL/SQL block even, highlighting the statement, opening a new window with just that line in.

Any help or advice appreciated.

Hi,

it's supported in an command-window. In an sql-Window set the cursor position to the table-name and use the right-mouse context-menu or use the assosiated key-shortcut.
