Price Increase

I've noticed since coming back from XMAS hols that the unlimited licence has doubled in price. Yes, doubled ! Now $6000. Why the sudden massive increase. The best part of this app was it's consistent value-for-money approach especially across the licence range. Now it jumps a great deal from 50 users to unlimited. Why ?

I was recommending this product to a new workplace just before xmas, and they were all set to purchase. They've changed their mind now due to sudden price hike! DOH!

Shame on you Allround Automations. Hope this product is not going down the route of other great apps which have been spoiled by this sort of tactic - get everyone hooked then bump up the price. :(

We have not increased our product prices since 1997, so I don't think you need to worry. We decided to increase our prices now, by approximately 20%, due the sustained low US Dollar / Euro exchange rate. Additionally we added a 100 user license pack, and because of this the unlimited moved upwards and did indeed double in price.

If you have more than 100 developers with an unlimited license, the price per developer is 'only' USD 60 or less. Still a good deal I think.

If you have 100 developers or less, you can switch to the 100 user license without a price change.

I'm with Marco. This is great software and it's a bargain! If your company has more than 100 developers, then $6000 is pocket change.

We only bought 5 licenses (so far) and I think we got the Oracle developers Bargain of the Century!

I understand your feelings but i do not aggree with you. Have you noticed that even the Dollar srink against the Euro allroundautomations did not change it's prices a long time!
6.000$ (sixthousand) Dollar are not much if you compare it with other products. you would get only 6 single suer licences.

So no shame on allroundautomations but everything good to them.

Totally agree with those who do not think that latest price change is unfair. When I found this software and tried trial version (1.5 year ago), I told my manager - if company doesn't buy it, I'll do it myself. And I'm ready to say it again after price increase. Now we have 10 licences pack and every new person in the company who tries PLSQLdev switches to it regardless of what other tool he(she) is currently using.

For the record, I'm not saying that it's not good value for money - it still is. And I love the product, and have done since I was enlightened way back in version 4.

What I was complaining about was the doubling of the unlimited licence. As it turns out, the client will probably go ahead with the 100 user licence for the same price, but they just didn't want the hassle of having to keep track of seat numbers, so the unlimited licence looked good for them.

Also, just wanted some reassurance that the product wasn't going down the route of other larger competitors where this tactic is commonplace.
