In my personal default preferences, I have the session mode set to "Multi Session". One database I access now uses two-factor authentication which makes Multi Session mode a problem for that database.
So I added a new special personal preference set to use with a two-factor database connection and altered only two items: I set the session mode to "Dual Session" and changed the background color gradient to make the preference set easily recognizable. When I log into the two-factor database, the color from the special preference set is used, but the session mode used (Multi Session) is from the personal default preferences.
Then I tried reversing the session modes -- changing it on the personal default preferences to "Dual Session" and on the special preference set to "Multi Session", but I left the color settings alone. Then when I logged into the two-factor database, it used the colors from the special preference set and the session mode (Dual Session) from the personal default preferences.
Is session mode excluded from being set in this method?
