I downloaded trial version of plsqldev 715 and installed that exe. restarted machine. On opening plsql developer showing Register dialog box.

You can press the Cancel button on the register form if you are using the trial version.

I downloaded 7.15 and installed it, too. I had previously installed a trial version a few months ago and uninstalled it a few days after installation.
Now, can I not re-install the current trial version. When I click cancel on the registration form, the application shuts down.
Help?

If your 30 trial days are over, you can no longer start the trial version (even after a reinstall). You can send me an e-mail to obtain a trial extension.

I am not sure if I am to create another thread for a similar problem. I have had my version installed for a while now but starting this morning the application is only starting in the background. I have tried starting it using the DebugSQL, but the debug.txt was not create at either locations. Not sure what to do now.

What exactly do you mean by "only starting in the background"?
The debug.txt file is created as the first step after it is started, so maybe it does not start at all? Maybe there is some security software (anti-virus, firewall) that prevents it from starting?

Did you change your display configuration since it worked? For example by disconnecting of switching off some display, or changing its resolution or scaling?
No I did not. This is what happened. I had the application running while Oracle was down. When Oracle came back online, I tried to open a table without reconnecting to the database. The application advise me of the issue and then it hang. It did not respond for 10 minutes so I killed it from task manager. I have not been able to restart it since.
