PL/SQL Developer getting hanged

We can access the objects by typing manually the object name in SQL WINDOW and we are able to execute with no issues. Whereas if We click on SubFolders like Recent Objects,Tables,Procesdures..PLSQL developer is getting hanged..We have restarted the Server Instance also but it ends in vain ..Pls advise me

To obtain some more diagnostic information, can you modify the shortcut and add the DebugSQL parameter? For example:

"C:\Program Files\PLSQL Developer\plsqldev.exe" DebugSQL

Reproduce the problem (open a folder) and send me the debug.txt file that is generated in the PL/SQL Developer directory or in the %APPDATA%\PLSQL Developer directory (e.g. C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\PLSQL Developer).

This is a dictionary performance issue. On Oracle10g and later it is not recommended to query the all_objects view without specifying an owner. This is why PL/SQL Developer 8.0 and later restricted the Object Browser to a specific owner. In version 7.1.5 you would need to create filters that do the same, or you could consider to upgrade.

Go to Tools > Browser Filters and define a filter for each owner. For example:

Description: SCOTT's objects
Where clause: owner = 'SCOTT'
Order by: object_name

If you upgrade to the current version none of this will be necessary.

Hi We are using Version 8.0.1.1498 across board and having painful situation. For each user connecting, the following query is running very slowely in 11.2.0 database. We contacted Oracle and suggested to gather dictionary stats, baseline to a single plan etc. We did all despite that the quer run slowely. we want to completely stop running this query.
