PL/SQL Beautifier problems - version 10.0.0.5.1710

Hi,

We are trying to make PL/SQL Beautifier "the" default standard format option for our thousands of pl units, but we have found some problems (maybe bugs) and I hope someone could give us a workaround

Problem 1:

before:

v_test1     date;
v_test2     exception;
v_test3     number;
v_test4     number;

after:

v_test1     date;
v_test2 exception;
v_test3     number;
v_test4     number;

expected: exception variables be aligned

v_test1     date;
v_test2     exception;
v_test3     number;
v_test4     number;

Problem 2:

before:

insert into test
            (col1,
             col2)
values ('foo' -- test
        ,'bar'
        );

after:

insert into test
            (col1,
             col2)
values ('foo'
        -- test
        ,'bar'
        );

expected: comments on the same line

insert into test
            (col1,
             col2)
values ('foo' -- test
        ,'bar'
        );

Problem 3:

before:

commit;

after:

commit;

expected: do not delete the blank lines

commit;

Problem 4:

before:

/*
   text text text text text text text text text text text
   text text text text text text text text text text text
   text text text text text text text text text text text
   */

after:

/*
      text text text text text text text text text text text
   text text text text text text text text text text text
   text text text text text text text text text text text
   */

expected: do not mess with comments aligment

/*

I agree. I believe there is a lot of items on the list that should be addressed.

For "Problem 3", there is a "preserve blank lines" option that should handle this. There are options to "leave as it is", "remove all", or "merge into one".
