Hi,
I am currently trying to decide, whether I like the new Multi connection feature in PD9 or not.
I have this option enabled now for a week or two and found it quite useful in some cases, because I didn't need to start a complete new PLSQLDeveloper when I just wanted to take a quick look into a different Database. And together with the automatic background color feature getting confused with the connections can be avoided quite reliably.
But now I experienced a Problem that occurs together with the Autosave Desktop Option (which I use and love for years now).
The Problem is, that each window seems to save the Connection it is using and after I closed and reopened PD9 it asked for the main connection (as usual) But even If I choose one, all the windows keep the session, they were using before I closed PD9.
Now, the biggest problem was that my main Development Instance was not responding (don't know why, the DBAs said the DB harddrives were full, but this is actually not important)
This caused the whole PD9 to freeze, because all the windows tried to connect to the not responding DB even though I chose "Cancel" on the Logon screen to work offline.
I don't know what the opinion of the most people here is, but I'd rather have the windows not reminding the Connection than see them reconnect automatically to their stored DB.
Or maybe the Windows could switch their connection to the new main Connection, if they were attached to the main session before closing PD9?
Kind Regards
