Oracle 10g XE

I am running PL/SQL Developer 5.0.2. I have just installed Oracle XE on a Windows XP box, then PL/SQL Developer.

It lets me log in and then when I try to browse an object I get an error message SQL Net not properly installed, although in theory the client is installed.

Anyone seen this one before?

PL/SQL Developer 5.0 is not compatible with Oracle10g. You will need to upgrade to PL/SQL Developer 5.1.6 or later.

How do we upgrade from 5.1.4.730 to at least 5.1.6 and will that version continue to work with 9i database?

You can download 5.1.6 from the registered download page (where you also downloaded 5.1.4). It is compatible with 9i.
