ORA-29275 when clicking sessions from tools menu

Hello,

I am encountering an error with tool (I know...very old version):

PL/SQL Developer
Version 6.0.6.947 (MBCS)
01.35534 - 2 user license
Windows XP version 6.0 (build 2600) Service Pack 3

When I click tools -> sessions I get error "ORA-29275: partial multibyte character". I have been using this for years and have never encountered this.

Any ideas how to fix this?

To obtain some more diagnostic information, can you modify the shortcut and add the DebugSQL parameter? For example:

"C:\Program Files\PLSQL Developer\plsqldev.exe" DebugSQL

Reproduce the problem and send me the debug.txt file that is generated in the PL/SQL Developer directory or in the %APPDATA%\PLSQL Developer directory (e.g. C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\PLSQL Developer).

Thank you for your response.

Yesterday I tried bouncing PL/SQL Developer and when that didn't work I rebooted my machine. That did not work either.

Today, (my pc was not rebooted again today) but Developer was shutdown yesterday and restarted again today - it now works again.

So
-/ an everything bounce yesterday did not fix it.
-/ restarting Developer today did fix it.

I will keep your diagnostic instructions if it happens again,
