ORA-12154 with VPN Connection

Trying to connect to my Oracle database through a VPN connection and it it displaying ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified.

I'm running XP and PL/SQL developer 9.0.4.16544 01.76465

When I'm on the organizational network have no problems, but I'd like to connect via the VPN when I work from home.

Any ideas?

Can you start PL/SQL Developer without connecting, go to Help > Support Info, press the 'Copy all pages' button on this info screen, and paste this text into an e-mail reply?

Can you connect to the database with C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\bin\sqlplus.exe?

No, I'm not able to connect. I get a ORA-12560: TNS protocol adaptor error.

Note that you will need to add the complete connect string. For example:

sqlplus scott/tiger@chicago
