ORA-01041

When I tried to use PL/SQL Developer (trial version V5.1.6.747)
from MS-WIndows XP (Oracle client version 8.0.5) for working
with several different Oracle Instances (Oracle server versions
8.1.7.4 and 9.2.0 on SunOS 5.8) I got following problem.
After successfull login and cklicking on an object like "Packages"
or starting a SQL-statement in SQL window following error occurs:

ORA-01041 internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
Cause: Pointer to HSTDEF extension in HSTDEF is null.
Action: Contact Oracle Customer Support.

This does never happen when I use SQL-PLUS from Oracle client or
other GUI tools like ORACLE-SQL Worksheet and OraTool.

Maybe this is an environment problem. Can you go to Help > About, press the 'Info' button, press the 'Copy all pages' button on this info screen, and paste this text into an e-mail reply?
