One connection change switches everything...

Am I mistaken or was I able to change my connection using the key icon and everything would switch to the new connection in an older version of PL/SQL Developer?

Now when I change connections its possible to have the objects looking at one database and a SQL window looking at a different connection. Sooner of later, I'm going to shoot myself in the foot having multiple connections active at the same time.
Is there a way to have everything, Objects Tree, SQL Window, ETC, switch to the new connection and to only have one database open at a time?

Thanks in advance!

Would the Connection>Multi session, Dual Session, Single Session fix this?
Which setting would handle this?

The Session Mode should be set to Multi Session for maximum isolation between the various windows.

You can disable the "Allow multiple connections" preference (Tools > Preferences > Oracle / Connection) to restrict the IDE to 1 connection at a time.
