ODBC import: open File dialog is missing

If I connect to Excel Files no open File dialog appears.
But if I use for example MS Access Database the dialog apears.

Have you any idea how I can get the File dialog?

The file open dialog is provided by the ODBC driver. Apparently your Excel driver does not show a dialog, and your Access driver does. Perhaps you can update/reinstall the Excel ODBC driver?
