Object browser + window list take up too much space

Not too happy with version 9...
Had to spend 20 minutes trying to dock the object browser and window list to the left of the screen with the object browser on top. This stuff is seriously flawed.

Steps to get this done.
1) Undock object browser and window list
2) Minimize both using the yellow arrow at the bottom.
3) Place Object browser inside window list.
4) Drag bottom of resulting window down to make it larger. If all is well Window list is on top, object browser at the bottom.
5) Drag the window to the left of the screen untill it docks to the left.
6) For some reason the Object browser and window list switch places so that object browser is now on top.

Is there an easier way?

Also, How do I get rid of some unnecessary functionality:

I can indeed reproduce step 6, where the object browser and window list switch places after docking them. We'll fix this.

The easiest way to do this is as follows:

1. Dock the Window List.
2. Dock the Object Browser below the Window List.

You will see the ghost frame change position when you reach the top (dock above), center (dock at same tabbed position), or bottom (dock below).
