not connected ora-03114 error

for some reason im getting a lot of these errors today. im not sure why. we have installed the xmldom dbms proc to the db but thats all. when i try and disable a constraint in the edit table window for example the tool disconnects from oracle every time. however if (once i connect back up again) i view sql and copy the code to an sql window and run the alter command it works fine. what does the edit table window do differently than the sql code does that would cause a disconnect?

Also...when is the next release of pl/sql developer?

I was somehow remembering that something like this was happening before. Then remembered that I cleaned my system with the add aware and it started working. so I just did that. I used lavasoft addaware and of course it found 30 or so pieces of junk on my system and deleted them. I also ran hijack and it deleted some other unwanted junk that was put on my system. Praise The Lord!!! It works fine now!! So I guess this isn't a total waste of everyone's time. If anyone has this kind of strange problem just try and clean up the system and it might work. I still would like to know what the difference would be though that the normal program window would do to compile and crash because of a snoop program or something compared to the command window or sql plus that has no problem just running the sql for the same code.

Also I'd still like to know when the new release is coming out.
And when are you going to come out with a feature that just writes all my code for me? hehe.

I have no real explanation for this. Maybe one of the spyware programs causes a conflict with Oracle Net at the TCP/IP level. This should of course not be possible, but who knows.

I'm glad it's fixed though, and it's good to know that AdAware can help.

Version 6.0 is scheduled for early next year.
