Missing Menus & Toolbars

Hi there, this is not so much a bug, but a strange anomoly which I thought you may want to look in to, or to raise in case someone else runs in to the same problem.

I have had a problem with PL/SQL Dev. (5.1.2.682 running on XP (SP1)) over the last two days where I could not see any toolbars and the File->New->Program Window subitems dissapeared except for "blank".

I tried uninstalling and installing the software but nothing seemed to work. I eventualy had to uninstall the software, remove the registry entries and reinstall which has resolved the problem.

The only change I actualy made to my system was to compress a few folders on my box, including the system32 folder, but excluding the PL/SQL Dev. folder.

The same happened to one of our Developers
(Win2000 SP3 PL/SQL Dev 5.1.2687).
Initially we suspected PlugIns - please see my message from June 18th - but I think this is not a case. Setting 'defaults' to Toolbar in 'Tools/Preferences' doesn't help - when running a new session of PL/SQL Dev Toolbar is blank again.

Can you verify if the Template\Program units subdirectory under the PL/SQL Developer directory contains the necessary templates for a function, procedure and so on?

If it does, can you verify the Template directory preference (Tools > Preferences > Directories)?

This determines how the File > New > Program Window is created.

Like I said it is all ok now since I deinstalled, cleaned the registry and installed again. However, I do remember the Templates window was not as it should be. Structure was different and no icons. That's all I remember I'm afraid.
