Logon dialog looses first letter entered when history has been opened

Logon dialog skips first letter typed when history has been opened.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open logon dialog (Session -> Log on). The Username is automatically filled in by PLD with last used username and cursor is in the password field.
2) Press Ctrl-H (or the icon with the three dots) to open the history.
3) Press Esc to close the history again.
4) Write x in the password field. Nothing happens.
5) if you are not aware of the missing letter in the password, you get an error when you press Enter to logon.

So if you enter xyz as password, only yz is entered and the logon fails.

When you use Shift-Tab to go to Username after having closed the history dialog, the situation is the same: the first letter entered is lost.

Same bug in version 12 beta.

Have you followed the exact steps as stated above?
I have tried to install PLD on a collegue's computer (Windows 10 64 bit) with a reproducible result. Version 12 beta 2 also has this bug.

I'm also not able to reproduce by following these steps. (64bit v11.0.6.1796 and v12 beta 2; windows 10 pro)

I can now reproduce in v12b3, but only by pressing Ctrl-H to make the logon history appear. Clicking the three-dot button with the mouse does not reproduce the problem.

Incidentally, when pressing Ctrl-H windows also gives an "alert" sound.

@Worker: yes, you are right. You have to use Ctrl-H to open the history to reproduce.
So: no mouse, just keyboard.

Strange with the "alert" sound, as when you try to click anywhere outside the modal Logon dialog?

When will this be solved? It is quite annoying, as the first letter in the password is not registered by PLD and causes a login failure.

Will it be corrected in one of the version 12 patches or do I have to be patience until version 13+?
As I wrote earlier, it quite annoying and results in some extra typing of user names and/or passwords during a day's work.

Hi Marco,

Could this please be addressed and fixed before the release of version 14? It is a daily cause for irritation, when you think you have entered the correct password when logging in, only to get an error because the first character in the password was missing.

As stated in earlier posts, it only happens when you use Ctrl-H to open the logon history dialog and you hear the alert sound, like PLD is trying to focus a field that can not be focused (is my guess).

Thanks in advance.
