Hi,
Just want to see if there is a way to backup the Preferences and layout (save layout),and saved Passwords. I mean like the export function of the favourites in IE.

Its just that I had a crash on my machine I had to reinstall everything and still the PLSQD is not quite how I had it before :)

Thanks
Sak

You can backup the following directory:

%APPDATA%\PLSQL Developer 12

All preferences and other configuration data is stored here. You can additionally use regedit.exe to export the following section:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Allround Automations\PL/SQL Developer 12

This section contains dynamic information such as recent file lists, search history, window sizes, and so on.

No the passwords are stored in your Connections - see my reply to your other post about how to Export connection definitions (including passwords)
