Initialization Error

Hi!

i download PL SQL Developer 5.1.1
but when i want to start a sql-statement or create a table he always give me an error message:
initialization error
SQL*Net not properly installed
OracleHomeKey: Software/Oracle
OracleHomeDir:

i am a newbie ... what shoul i do ...

It seems that there is no Oracle Net installed on your PC, which is a requirement. Could this be the case? If so, you need to install it.

If you do have Oracle Net installed, please start the registry editor, export hkey_local_machine\software\oracle, and send this file to me by e-mail.

where could i download Oracle net?...is it for free?

If you have an Oracle Server license, then it is for free. It should be available on the Oracle Server installation CD's.
