In SQL window, date selector defaults to December 1899, shown on white background in dark mode

I am editing a table in the SQL window, which has a date column which is currently null. I press the three dots to open the date selector. The date defaults to December 1899 (!). I can press Today to get today's date, but then I have to open the date selector again e.g. to set a time.

In version 14, the date selector defaulted to today's date when the date was empty. A little more usefull in everyday work :)

Also, in dark mode, the background for the date selector is white, which makes the text hard to read. Please fix this.

The keyboard shortcut Alt-Down opens the date selector in version 14, in version 15 this does work anymore (probably because the symbol has changed from a dropdown arrow to three dots). Please also fix this.

Partly solved in beta 2, the default date is todays date and the colours seem to be correct.
But I would still like the ellipsis icon (three dots) to be replaced back to the existing drop-down icon from version 14 (so I can enter a date by using only the keyboard and pressing Alt-Down).
