When running a report with lexical parameters like &where4 a nice parameter form pops up that you can fill in. However once that windows pops up you can't go anywhere within the tool to get some text to paste in the parameter form. Unless you hit ok or cancel.

Often I have SQL scripts with 4-10 lexicals and I have to go to another window within PL/SQL Developer to copy and then go back and paste. My lexicals parameters are not alway simple one or two character values but a whole where clause with and's and what not. My point being is they are to long to type or remeber.

Perhaps we can try to place the Substitution Variables dialog on top of the Report Window or SQL Window from which it was invoked, without blocking access to all other windows.

I have added this to the list of enhancement requests.
