From the beta forum: How save reduced height of Search bar in layout?

Is this going to be fixed? The amount of empty space below the Search bar is three times the space occupied by the search bar and the related icons.

This is on the to-do list for the next release. It is unfortunately not easily fixed.

OK, thanks. Next release, will that be version 12.1 or 13?
But anyway, I will look forward to the fix.
