Fonts for editor question

Hello!

Please, explain somebody, why can't I use predownloaded and installed font "Inconsolata" as editor font, though I can use it as a font for line numbers?

Thanks in advance!

Works fine for me. Can you go to "Fonts" in the Windows Control Panel, select the Inconsolata font, right-click on it, select "Details" and let me know the font type?

Thank you for replying!

I don't have the "Details" option for font on my Windows XP. I only have "Properties".

The type of file show in Properties is "OpenType Font file" (.otf). "Open Type, PostScript Outlines, Single Master" is shown, when I open the font file by double-clicking on it.

I just discovered a problem using an imported font on Windows 10. It seems the bold versions don't allow for additional space, so thed of the character is lost, but only when it's switching to non-bold?

I tried Inconsolata and Fira Mono, with the same result. Notice in the screenshot below that VARCHAR2, PLS_INTEGER and TRIM are trimmed.
