Exploring Oracle development tools

Hiii,
I hav just started learning about oracle...i have been given my very first task and it is about exploring oracle development tools.
I have been searching about this since two days...i just need some guidance that actually what are the oracle development tools and how many... what should i write about it .
plzzzzz plzzzzz help me in solving this..

Nice list, but Oracle's free SQL Developer isn't mentioned.

But, none are as good as PL/SQL Developer (especially when you consider features v. costs)!

Great. That would be like giving me the task of exploring commercial hadron colliders. Surely you need some experience with database development before you can assess database development tools?
