Oracle does not _officially_ support 8.0.5 under Win2K, but we have heard of many who are doing it. We're now getting a hang on a TOracleDataset containing a DML UPDATE statement--plenty of other DOA calls work just fine, including other updates--and are wondering if we've finally found an incompatibility. Anyone have experience with this combination?

I have no experience with this specific combination, but I have seen 8.0.3 (and even 7.2) work on Windows 2000 Professional without any problems. If everything else works fine and just this update hangs, then my first guess would be that it is simply caused by a record or table lock.
