Sirs,
I have developed Oracle applications that do not use any data access components, just standard "string" Delphi components. As such, it seems unnecessary (from my perspective) to require Delphi Prof. as a minimum.
I understand that there are some data components necessary to make *all* of DOA work correctly (i.e., datasets). But, might it be possible to somehow install DOA into Standard/Personal, with the obvious caveat that certain DOA parts won't work?
Alternatively, how about a DOA that does not require the data access components?
Just wondering...
