Developer Freezes and screen acts like it is refreshing the windows

Ever since I went to 12, my developer 3 or 4 times a day freezes and acts like it is refreshing each SQL windows. The freezing seems to get longer the more SQL windows that I have open. After the "refresh is done", developer works great until the next time. I am running the 32 bit version of developer and Oracle client. I thought about trying the 64 bit versions of both, but not sure. I have always used the 32 bit versions.

Has anyone seen this to and is their a fix for it?

We have had one more problem report like this. It may be related to the backup options. To test this, go to Preferences > Files / Backup and disable both the "Save on execute" and "Save on time interval" options.
