Defined Connections not copied over

My saved connections was not copied over from PLSQL 14.

Maybe this is an environment problem. Can you start PL/SQL Developer 14, go to Help > Support Info and send me the text from the "Info" tab page?

Could it be because I have a custom location for my preferences?

Yes, that could be. In that case you need to explicitly copy the preferences.
