Hi,
Same issue, i think the short-cuts are not defined which you can see in the EDIT Menu : No Short-cut for Find&Replace

Setting it through Tools > Preferences > User Interface > Key Configuration as suggested by mariopao should work.

ctrl-F and the other search related hotkeys ARE configured in Tools > Preferences > User Interface > Key Configuration and it still does not work. I'm use to doing ctrl-F and typing what I want to find as a force of habit but instead I just end up screwing up my statements because the stupid find dialog does not come up. This needs to be fixed, very annoying!

Ok, I figured it out. I use a custom preference set (you can find this at the top of the preferences screen with a drop down box and a button to manage your preference sets). Even though I had ctrl-F mapped to the find function in my preference set the 'System Default' set was overriding it. I had my preference set set as the active one so I chalk this up as a bug in the program.

There are some problems related to key configuration and multiple preference sets. I pointed this out during the beta here. Apparently these haven't been fixed yet.
