1. Ctrl-F keystroke does not work

Even though I reset the key configurations to default, ctrl-f is not working for me. I'll test some more and get back to you all.

When using the button in the menu to launch the Find&Replace window I also get the following:
- the (dropdown-)field for "Text to find" is not 'active', meaning I can't start typing immediately
- if I try to use the keyboard with Alt-T to make this field active ("T" in "Text to find" is underlined) the F&R dialog disappears and the Tools menu opens ..

I cannot reproduce either issue. Can you check if the Edit > Find & Replace menu item shows the Ctrl+F shortcut?

The issue with ctrl-f has been solved; I too had a custom preference set that I didn't update for ctrl-f.

The other issue seems to be gone as well!

It seems to me that it is not possible to navigate through the find&replace-window using the TAB-Key. The short-cuts (like Alt-E for "Replace with") won't work either.
Is that problem reproducable? I have that issue on two different machines.

Thanks for help,
Hannes

PS: The short-cuts don't work if they are assigned to the menu as well

Okay... the TAB-Key issue comes up due to my own shortcut-definitions as well. But why are they active in the find&replace window? That makes no sense - at least from my point of view.

The other issue should be easily solvable. Either you just define Unique Alt--shortcuts or the active window is "served" first - should be possible, right?

Thanks in advance (especially if it would be possible to just ignore userdefined shortcuts that are used for basic functionality in the find&replace Window),
Hannes

We'll check it out. Your own shortcut definitions work because the Find&Replace dialog is a modeless dialog (all other PL/SQL Developer functionality is available).
