Copying into Excel instance not working

I'm using version 7.0.3.1123

After almost 1.5 years using PL/SQL Developer, when I now attempt the usual right-click in results and copy to Excel, the hourglass appears, disappears, but Excel will not open with the copied results. Other users are experiencing the same problem.

If anyone knows how I can fix this, please help.

We're wondering if it might be the result of some automatic MS update that may have run behind the scenes.
 
Can you check if a tmp001.xls (or a different number than 001) file is created in the Windows temp directory? If it exists, can you open it with Excel?

I don't know what happened last week, but today everything is working again. We are no longer experiencing this problem.
